Day 1: Timisoara Arrival – Timisoara Walking Tour

On the first day of A Taste of Timisoara tour, you will arrive at Timisoara International Airport, where your certified English-speaking tourist guide will be waiting to meet you. After a warm welcome, you will be transferred to your 4-star hotel located in the heart of Timisoara.
Once you’ve checked in and had some time to freshen up, your tour guide will take you on a walking tour of the city. Timisoara, also known as the “Little Vienna,” is a beautiful city with a rich history and culture. You will explore the city’s beautiful architecture, charming parks, and historic landmarks such as the Union Square, the Orthodox Cathedral, the Romanian National Opera, and the Baroque Palace.
As you walk through the city, your guide will share interesting stories and facts about Timisoara’s past and present, as well as its diverse cultural influences. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and get a real sense of what life is like in this vibrant city.
After the tour, you will have some free time to explore on your own or relax at your hotel. With its beautiful architecture, lively cafes, and charming parks, there’s always something to see and do in Timisoara.

Day 2: Charlotenburg – Radna Saint Marry Monastery – Exclusive Margina Village Tour & Traditional Lunch – Wine Tasting

On the second day of A Taste of Timisoara tour, we will take you on a journey to explore the charming countryside of Banat. Our first stop is the picturesque village of Charlottenburg, known for its unique radial structure, making it the only circular-shaped village in the area of Banat and the entire country. Built in the 18th century by German settlers, the village features a round interior plaza, with houses set around it, each of them having the same height. Charlottenburg is a true gem of local architecture and is listed as a historical monument by the Romanian Ministry of Culture.
From there, we will visit the Radna Saint Mary Monastery, a stunning example of Baroque architecture, built between 1732 and 1740. The monastery is home to an impressive collection of religious art, including paintings and sculptures, and its peaceful surroundings make it a perfect place for reflection and spiritual contemplation.
After the monastery, we will head to the nearby Margina village, where we will enjoy an exclusive tour and a traditional lunch. Margina is a small, secluded village that has preserved its centuries-old traditions and customs. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the local way of life, visit traditional houses, and meet local craftsmen who still practice ancient techniques.
Finally, we will end our day with a wine tasting experience, where you will get to sample some of the best wines produced in the region. Day 3: Communist Ages of Timisoara – Timisoara Departure

Explore the fascinating history of Timisoara during the Communist era on the last day of your 3-day tour. Your knowledgeable guide will take you on a walking tour to discover the city’s communist past, including the iconic Revolution Square where the 1989 Romanian Revolution began. Visit the Communist Consumer Museum to learn about everyday life during this period, and see the imposing Palace of Justice, built during the Ceausescu era.
End your tour with a visit to the Memorial Museum of the 1989 Revolution, which commemorates the events that led to the fall of communism in Romania. Finally, your guide will escort you to Timisoara International Airport for your departure.
